It’s as Simple as ABC!!!
We must first admit to God that we are sinners. We all need salvation. Each of us have a sin problem. We have all done wrong. Sin is any word, act, thought, etc. that is contrary to God’s commands. Anyone who fails to live a perfect life of obedience in light of God’s commands is guilty of sin in God’s eyes. Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Since we cannot be perfect, we are all sinners. God desires us to become more like Him everyday. Therefore, after salvation we can do our very best each day to live by God’s standards and obey His commands.
Second, we must believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son, and we must be willing to receive God’s gift of forgiveness of our sin. God loves us all, He offers us salvation through grace and our faith in Jesus Christ. Although we have done nothing to deserve His love and salvation, God desires that we be saved. Through the death of Jesus on the cross, God provided salvation for anyone who is willing to repent of theirs sins and believe in Jesus. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.”
Third, we must confess our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our life to the world. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess that you are saved.” This simply means that we must tell others what Christ has done in our life, and we must do our very best each day to live for Him.
If you wish to accept God’s free gift of salvation today please say the prayer below.
I know that I am a sinner, and I am in need or forgiveness of my sin. I confess my sin to you and turn from it. I believe that you are God’s only Son. I believe that You came to earth and lived a perfect life. I believe that You died on the cross as payment for my sins. I believe that you rose from the dead and are alive today. I confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. I will tell those around me what you have done in my life, and I will do my very best to live for you each day. Will you come into my heart and save me today?
If you prayed that prayer today you are saved! Welcome to God’s family!
Remember, it is not the prayer that saves you. Rather, it is the attitude of your heart. You have to truly mean what you pray.
